Plenty to Cheer About

Texas men and women swam well over past two days.  Eddie's guys and Carol's gals took down Arizona and SMU.  Results here and here.  Women's meet was in serious doubt until last three events turned it around for the Horns.

Among the many highlights for the women, Sam Tucker's 1:44.97 200 free really stood out.  She went out all alone in her heat and just kept crankin'.

One of the top swims for the guys was Michael McBroom's 1,000 free.  When we saw 4:21.00 at the 500, we knew he had a great shot at both the pool and school record.  8:43.48 crushed both.

What about Bobby?  Looked strong.  Lifetime bests in the 50 (:20.78) and 100 (:44.95) today.

4:21-4:22 are almost like your sage advice: "Take it out as fast as you can and negative split!"
