It's That Time of Year

We're at Don Cook Nat again this year.  I don't anticipate being home much earlier than 8:00 p.m.

If there's a volunteer who'd like to do call-ups this
year, please have at it!  Just send me a link to where
you're going to post them and I'll share it here.  If
you're not sure how it's done, send me an email
and I'll let you know about the ins and outs.

If there aren't volunteers (and there's still a need for the service), I'll work on call-ups and post them here.  If that's the case, please send me results.  I can get on Meet Mobile, but there are occasional issues and an official result helps keep my errors to a minimum.

Please send complete (prelims & finals) results to my email address

Also, please check this blog every so often.  If I'm having issues getting results from a particular region, I'll let y'all know here.

Finally, there will be glitches!  Help by getting me corrections ASAP!  Even though this is unofficial, we'd like it to be 100% accurate by the time kids check it one last time on Sunday morning.

Good luck to everyone in their region meets!

Once the dust settles on the Texas high school swimming season, I'll be putting together two (2) sets of rankings.

The first will be the 3rd Annual Clark Wilson Invitational, a.k.a. Mythical 4A State Champs.  For those who don't know, Clark was a larger-than-life figure in East Texas swimming.  As a club coach, he enabled kids from tiny towns with no swim programs to represent their schools in UIL swimming.  Clark died suddenly in the spring of 2018.  We miss him greatly.

I'll do another middle school ranking this spring.  Since school districts run their middle school seasons at different times of the year, that won't come out until late in the school year.  Please let anyone know who has middle school swimming programs that I'll be needing results!

Ray Thibault

It's tough to estimate how many swimmers competed in meets officiated by Ray Thibault.

Tens of thousands?  Hundreds of thousands?

Sadly, Ray passed away earlier this month.

Read the obituary and watch tribute video here
