When the state discusses this item with University of Delaware President Patrick Harker, I hope they will ask him about the athletic budget. Dumping men's running isn't saving them a whole lot of money, is it?
If he's got a budget issue, why didn't he consider dropping other sports that cost much more than track? Better still, did he consider sharing the "pain" and asking all sports to knock a little off their budgets?
