Last year we visited w/Andrews HS head coach Mike Waldmann. He told us the story of the "antiques" he discovered and what they mean to his state meet squad.

Button, I was the young coach at Andrews High School that ordered these jackets. It was my first teaching/coaching job after graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I coached from 1982-1988. These jackets are at least 40 years old! I noticed them on the swimmers standing on the podium last year at the 4A State Championships. I thought" those are my jackets, can't be."
I'm so proud of Mike and what he has done with the program in Andrews. I think it's a great tradition and hope the jackets can keep finding the podium! Beth Barber
