Leon's busy trying to win $10,000 this weekend in Sharkathon 2008. All he has to do is drag in a 10+ foot shark at Padre Island National Seashore. The tournament had been scheduled for September, but was postponed due to Hurricane Ike.The debris washed up on the beaches is incredible. Read an article about it here.

Where are the Sharkathon results??? I'm gots to know how he did.
Not too well. Only a 4'10'' black tip. Most of the winning fish were caught north we fished south to get away from the crowds. We ran out some big baits(exp. 15-20# jacks) hopeing for that 10ft+ shark but the odds of catching a 10ft shark from the surf in tx these days are very slim.
You wouldnt believe the amount of wood and crap on the beach on pins right now, saw a couple boats, count less number of chairs and buckets, walls to peoples houses, boards from houses, and everything in between.
