If men's swimming is going down, do you want it to be with a
whimper or a
bang?
I just made my $100 donation to
Save ASU Swimming.
My understanding is that if they're
unable to raise the dough necessary to keep the men's program, that we have the
option of leaving it for the women's team.
That would be a nice gesture.
Luckily, I've got a much
better idea of how they can use the money to help the sport of swimming (both at ASU and elsewhere).
Why don't we send a message to all the athletic directors who think they can dump men's swimming and still keep their jobs?
I say, we kick them to the curb if they can't manage their budgets without dropping sports.
Here's what I typed into the comment box:
If the men's program isn't saved, I'd like my donation to be
used toward buying out athletic director Lisa Love's contract.
