Button and friends - thank you so much for caring. Too bad the UIL thinks that waiting until Tuesday is the answer. Too bad TISCA doesn't want to upset the UIL. And oh - special shout out to Mr. Draper who used to put these together - we got a small glimpse of how hard and pressing the work is.

would love to know how one gets a DQ overturned within the confine of the UIL. Thank God and others for the rule change - for the state meet re: the use of technology and allowing equipment alone to rule.

um - a DQ overturned and the meet had been over for more than 30 minutes - that is NOT the rule that the UIL has used in the past. Maybe, just maybe cooler heads have prevailed and someone is doing something right for the kids.

  12. team effort, baby, that's what it's about!

we had folks sending screen shots of scoreboards just in case results didn't get sent.

incredible amount of participation from coaches, officials, and fans.

email inbox was blowing up with all the info coming in.

that one post (first!) has 101 comments. people sharing info with me and each other was one of my favorite parts of the whole experience.

y'all really took it to another level.

sorry for the errors that we had, but pleased that we could find and correct them in a relatively short amount of time.

good luck to everyone headed for austin in a couple of weeks!

Curious as the situation that resulted is overturning an officials call in the meet on a relay? Was is a dual confirmation issue?

I would be curious to know what was overturned also... If it was a call based on technology or the wrong lane was charged with something because of a clerical error, that's understandable, but if someone overrules a technical call that much after the meet is done??? Starts to smell a bit.

Dawson relay DQ was due to a misunderstanding of the swimmers' order in which they swam. The swimmers swam in a legal order but were falsely disqualified. The overturning was not of an arbitrary official ruling, i.e. false start.
