It would be nice if there was a listing that showed Region winners (name the Region), and callups BY REGION.

This is not rocket surgery, btw.

Show which Regions have the best representation, do pre-meet potential scoring by seed times, can't we find someone with time on their hands who likes to do this stuff? Even a [shudder] ... PARENT???

Pre-Meet potential scoring by seed times?
That is an individual job for each coach, according to his Team's needs.
Which are the toughest Regions? The times tell that story, along with what actually takes place at the Texas State Meet.
That is why we have the State Meet.

It is "competitive" swimming at its best and the seed times are only for the coaches to "make a plan" and ready their kids for the meet.

Some kids shaved for regions and some did not. The State Meet will answer ALL the questions.

agree that it was nice to see the region winners and then the call ups.

also, agree, that the psyche sheet is just that and nothing more. All kinds of fun and surprises (as well as disappointments) at the state meet.

Without looking at the call ups or the fastest seeds I will bet 90% of the call ups are from Region II or Region IV. Additionally, it is pretty safe to say the fastest times in 80%+ of the events are from the same 2 regions. If I get bored I'll look at that and report back!!

I think region 7 represent ok - not like it did but definitely impactful. There are several regions that had some fast indiviual swims other than 2 and 4. The bulk does come from 2 and 4.

Come on, folks, use a fake name and establish your creds. There must be at least 18 people named Anonymous here. Wait. 19. I did that once to flame some nimrod.

Weigh in here and cover me, Deer Slayer!

This year was pretty fast for some of the Regions. The interesting part is that no one gets to choose their District or Region. That is all left to the illustrious uil. If the FB & BB realignment holds true with swimming, Southlake, and the Keller schools go to Region 1. The Plano/Allen schools go to Region 3. Region 2 just got diluted a bunch. Is that good or bad? 1 and 3 will be faster. The pick up times should be a bit slower since spreading out the faster schools will allow winning times that would have been second or third. More swimmers from those Regions could potentially make it through unrested/unshaved. Is that good for swimming? 4 and 7 didn't seems to lose anything, but 1,2,& 3have changed a lot. Pre scoring the meet is easy and usually tells the story. There are some changes, but it usually plays out as prewritten. A team can move up or down 10-15 points, but usually not musc more (barring touchpad/takeoff pad malfunctions).

7 days until the meet and still no broadcast information posted. Has Fox decided not to run the broadcast this year?
