Button,
ReplyDeleteYou the man!,
you are the best! thanks to you, the swimmers don't have to wait so long....
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this together Bob. Not sure why UIL thinks this needs to wait until Tuesday. Every year theyv've done it they've screwed it up.
ReplyDeleteYou are great and both swimmers and parents appreciate you taking the time to do this.
ReplyDeleteFrom my childs swims that I tried to figure on my own you are accurate.
Making many swim fans Happy, Happy, Happy! Thanks for what you do!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else notice the number of call-ups (at least the 5A boys) from Region 4? 100 Free - 6 guys called up, in both free relays - 5 relays called up, 100 back - 5 guys called up......very glad that the rule of "no more than four entrants from any one region" got thrown out several years ago!
ReplyDeleteIn order to move towards a "true" championship there should not be a limit on qualifiers from a region. Now if the UIL will move to pulling the top 16 times for 24 swimmers in prelims into state we can have that "true" championship!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Maybe you misunderstood; I am glad to have 8 from one Region go to State, if they have the fastest times. I was just remarking on the strength of Region 4. .....A group tried in 2011, unsuccessfully, to have 24 at State, but I don't know if further efforts have been made.
ReplyDeleteMy son is in Region 4 and it is fast. Makes for a really competitive meet to watch. Thankful that the rule is not longer in play would be totally unfair for those kids who do have fastest times to not go to state. The times are hard enough just to get out in the first place.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for State. It is Fun to watch the fastest swim against each other.
Same with the girls in Region 4.
ReplyDelete100 Free #1-4 at regions are also #1-4 seeds at State, plus another 2 callups seeded 8 and 9.
